She demonstrates a deadly process at work in couples, families and the workplace --a process that sweeps its victims into a depressive, sometimes suicidal vortex. The insidious violence of stalking springs from a determination to get rid of another person without, so to speak, dirtying ones hands. The perverse individual by nature conceals his/her assaults. Unmasking the deception is essential to enable the victim to recover his/her bearings and escape from the aggressors hold. The authors clinical experience and studies with a concentration in victimology place her squarely on the side of these victims of aggression. It is important to understand what is a real stalking of the soul. Until now the subject of emotional abuse through perverse violence has been largely neglected.
